It's not worth buying an intel Mac at all unless you specifically need to dual boot windows, but the amount you'd have to pay to have something comparable in power to a windows dedicated machine or an m1 is going to be at least double. Unless you have a really narrow interest in gaming and know for sure it'll work on Macs, don't do it lol.

All I really play is source ports of 90's fps. Having to run through crossover and even then only getting the odd game working isn't really worth buying a new computer for. What will or won't work is hard to say and things will probably break and unbreak at random.
